Let's Talk About Wildfire

Description

Join Hinsdale County Tuesday evening at 5 pm at the Mountaineer Theatre to talk about wildfire preparedness, find out resources available for individual property owners, and learn more about conditions and response.  We will be viewing a portion of the- National Geographic Society's megafires video.

There will be briefings and discussions with the Bureau of Land Management, the USDA Forest Service, and the Colorado State Forest Service on proposed projects and resources for homeowners.  Jonathan Coop from Western Colorado University will share information on recent studies in our area.  County representatives and additional wildland fire partners will be available to answer questions.
