The DIRT board and the Chamber of Commerce board have made the difficult decision to not hold a Celebrate Lake City in 2020 honoring volunteers for 2019.

This event is one of our favorite evenings of the year -- when we come together to celebrate our collaborative community and the work all of our organizations do. Like much in 2020, we will miss this time of togetherness. However, we believe it is the best decision for our community.

If you would like to please send us information about your organization and 2019 honorees, we will compile a written thank you and share it widely. We will purchase a full-page advertisement in the Silver World, identifying winners, and use social media to honor our people.

We need your information by 5:00 pm October 19th (please include any pictures, brief text, and a picture of any awards - if you want) .... thank you!! As always, let me know if you have questions or want help with writing.

We will be back on track for an April 2021 event to coincide with the national Volunteer Awareness week.

Thank you for your continued work that supports our community in so many ways. We appreciate the partnerships. Stay safe :)
