We are the oldest single owner Fly Shop in the state and have provided supplies, information and guidance for beginners and pros for over 60 years.  Dan knows what is needed for a good fishing experience and things that will allow you take home a memory of Lake City. Also available are helps for the children in your group. We have some great gift ideas and every needed fly fishing tool to make a day on the water successful.

Sports Equipment – Sales and Rentals

You will find all the equipment needed for a great fishing experience at Dan’s.  All fly rods, including Sage, are custom made on site in Lake City.  Redington, Ouray, and Columbia products, hand tied flies, foot ware, vests, hats shirts, nets, and much more are in stock including every needed fly fishing tool to make a day on the water successful.

Rentals of waders, rods, and vests are available.

Guided Tours

Schedule an instructional trip with one of our exceptional and highly skilled guides.  We will gear the trip to match your skill level and expectations, provide equipment as needed, and give you a day of fun on the water all while learning to fly fish, improve your skills, and get to know the area. Our motto for these many years has been “Serving old pros and beginners” because we have something to offer no matter your age or experience, and we have access to water for all levels.

We also offer Fly Casting Lessons, FREE on Wednesdays at 10 AM.
